This unique event offers shooters of all ages the opportunity to be part of America’s rich shooting heritage. This event encourages participation over competition. Gather the whole family for a day of fun at Colorado Clays!
Main Event- Sporting Clays Shoot
Ladies and participants 18 years and younger shoot for $35, Gentlemen shoot for $50. Price includes Lunch, prizes, and 100 clay targets. Registration begins at 9am. The shoot begins at 10am. Bring your own shotgun or pre-arrange a rental with Colorado Clays at (303) 659-7117. Rentals are limited to call ahead. Event ends around 2pm.
Free Event- Introduction to Handguns
Looking to get a CCW permit but aren’t familiar with handguns? This is the perfect event for you! This is an introduction to handgun course led by expert lady instructors. We highly encourage novice women to join us.
Free Event- Fine Gun Room Demo Shoot
Bass Pro Shops Fine Gun Room and Gunsmith staff will be on hand to help this unique opportunity to shoot numerous vintage and classic “Best Gun” class shotguns from around the world on the trap range. We will also have an introduction to Muzzleloaders class taught by T.J. Goss.
Free Event- Shooting Instruction
Colorado 4-H Shooting Sports will be assisting beginner shooters by teaching safe gun handling and basic shooting skills. (Special youth guns provided for younger participants)
Expert Instructor – Mike Englund, 2013 Colorado State 12ga Skeet Champion.
A certified shooting instructor with 16 years of experience will be on site to assist beginner and expert shooters.
Free Event – Caesar Guerini
Factory Rep will provide demo shotguns to shoot.
Special Guest – Anne Mauro, VP of Syren USA
Anne Mauro is a NRA/USA Shooting Certified Shotgun Coach, NSCA Certified Instructor, Competition Sporting Clay and FITASC shooter, and the Head Coach of the University of Maryland Shotgun Sports Team. “Syren, The world’s finest line of shotguns and accessories created for the lady competitor, huntress and shotgun enthusiast. Pheasants Forever will be on hand to support the event, come meet us and find out what we do. “We are an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to improve and preserve wildlife habitat and promote Novice hunting through education and involvement. We strive to leave no Novice indoors.”
Free Event- Bird Dog Basics
So You Want To Own A Bird Dog? CJ Kausel of Hunt Smart Productions and the Colorado Gun Dog Association along with his German Shorthair Pointer “Shawnee”, will be on hand to discuss and demonstrate what it takes to have a competent gun dog.
